Patient's Testimonial

Dear Dr. Salim:

First of all, I wish you are fine and have had good vacations!

I am very fine, since september 1st I quit taking PRANEX (the only medication I was taking); I feel no pain now, walk about an hour or so, as you said and I don't notice any disturbance (only during some unusual flexures, I guess it's normal).

I wish you can tell me, what kind of exercise or gymnastics am I able to do, and which one I can't?

I tell you, that if you wish you can put my case in the web page of successfull operated patients putting my phone, address, etc. thus I can say that my operation has been an art masterpiece, that has brought me life again, and for me it would be an honor to tell my story.

By the way, I like the songs of your web site alot!

Last but not least, I leave you all a big hug!

Case:  Patient presented lumbar discal hernia in L3-L4 space, previously operated by using laminectomy, with pain in lumbar area that irradiates to both inferior limbs.
Patient's Testimonial:

"I'm a physician specialized in geriatric medicin, I was intervented previously a few years ago, but open surgery wasn't exactly a pleasant experience, less for me as a doctor.

I began again suffering backache in the lumbar zone that irradiates to both inferior limbs.

I consulted many colleagues in Caracas, until I decided to travel to Valencia to talk to Dr. Salim Daher, which I appreaciate a lot.

Few days from there, I went through a LPD in L3-L4 in which I did very well spite of my age and the previous operation (open surgery). I was discharged two hours from the operation, and I feel very well so far."

Case:  Pacient presented left lumbo-sciatica with approximately 6 years of evolution, with important irradiation after lifting a weight (car battery), since when he presented pain in left buttock with progressive increase until sciatic path. MRI shown L4-L5 and L5-S1 discal hernia, having the latter very reduced space.
Patient's Testimonial:

"I presented left sciatic pain 6 years from then. One day, I lifted an important weight and since then pain grew progressively more intense, to the point it prevented me to carry out my job as a surgeon.

I consulted with neurosurgeons and carried out physiatry, not obtaining the expected improves.

I talked to Dr. Salim Daher and went through a Lumbar Percutaneous Disectomy in L4-L5, L5-S1. Tewnty days later I began working and I feel very good so far.

I'm very happy with the results of this operation, because this minimally invasive spinal surgery method helped me with that huge problem I had."

Patient's Testimonial:

"I'm a professional soccer player. When I was 27 I begun feeling left lumbo-sciatica 6 months after beeing strongly hit during a training. This nuisance irradiated to my left leg, inhabilitating me to carry out any kind of excercise. I couldn't train anymore.

I consulted a neurosurgeon that indicated me a CAT, which showed the existence of a L4-L5 discal hernia. I travelled to Valencia, consulted with Dr. Salim Daher and he practiced me a DPL.

I went out very well; 15 days after that I begun with a soft training, and one month from then I was training completely. So far I feel very well, and I haven't felt any nuisance, even when I'm playing actively."

Case:  Patient with 8-year old right lumbo-sciatica, with right inferior limb irradiation since 1 month ago. Presented 3 months ago important algic crisis; was examined by fisiatrist and made 8 sessions of fisiatry without any improvement. Was examined by neurologyst that indicated him lumbo-sacra spine IMR, which showed L4-L5 middle-right discal hernia and discopaty in L3-L4.
Patient's Testimonial:
"Dear Salim:

This week I turn one year of having been operated by you and of having recovered in a very short time my normal conditions of life, getting rid of the inability and the pain that produced me the discal hernias.

Although I don't believe to have paid the rest that was prescribed, I refer that I was operated a Friday p.m., I left the clinic the following Saturday and we came to Caracas. I was of rest until the day Wednesday when for work reasons I spent the whole morning in my office, I could drive and spend the day without problems. On following Friday, 7 days ago from the operation I traveled to the United States, where 15 days I spent, I had serious nuisances caused by a 3 hour airplane trip, followed by 5 hours in an automobile, the truth was that I felt pretty struck. It was that 30 days ago of having been operated I could conclude an important project of life, that was participating in the world record of parachuting, taking place in the city of Anapa, Russia, to where I arrived after three days of trip.

I could make 24 jumps in parachute between the September 14 and September 28. I admit you that I was full with uncertainties on the operation and the resistance of my spine to the stress caused by the jumps. I don't know how much risk I took when jumping (I've been practicing this sport for the last 24 years), but with the desire of participating in the record (which we make by making a free fall formation of 297 people) and some small doses of Ibuprofen, we leave airy of the test.

So far I take a normal life, I don't take any type of sedatives, there am practiced my sport without any restriction and I have not felt the pain again.

I write this testimony to express my gratefulness to your person and the people with which you work.

Greetings

Aníbal Dao"

Case: Patient presented THREE discal hernias: L3-L4, L4-L5 and L5-S1. The last one (L5-S1) relapsed, was treated using laminectomy but simptoms reappeared about a year after.
Patient's Testimonial: "I was operated the first time by the conventional method, and I felt improvings during four years. But from a time ago I had to go to physiotherapy because the pain came back and worse than the another one. When I knew about Dr. Daher I went to Valencia to take a consult with him, and I was operated on February 26. The doctor operated the recidived hernia first, and after he operated two more hernias that were formed after the first one. When I left the surgery room, I didn't feel pain, and at the following day I went back to Maracay. I called the doctor by telephone to tell him I was feeling very well, and until today I haven't felt any pain."
